After a brief time spent as deputy to the financial director of a German pharmaceutical corporation, Giancarlo Del Maro turned to management consulting in 1996. Since then he has advised several leading firms, mostly in the consumer goods sector, working in some 50 countries in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
With 25 years of consulting experience, Giancarlo has gained extensive expertise and robust knowledge in strategic planning and change management, assisting his clients in a broad range of business areas, including pricing, marketing, sales, distribution, supply chain, organization, and mergers and acquisitions.
Additionally, he has developed innovative consulting methodologies in the fields of channel marketing and route-to-market.
Giancarlo received his MBA from the University of Chicago and his degree in economics from Sapienza, University of Rome.
Italian, he lives in Barcelona and speaks Italian, Spanish, and English, and has a working knowledge of French. He enjoys rowing and mountain biking.
